tradition

our Christmas tradition...
chopping down the tree.
the boys love hunting for the perfect one.
oh...and don't worry....they were supervised with the saw. :)

on the hunt....

the men of the house each taking a turn cutting...

..and catching...this one was excited to shout "timber!"....

enter really cute tree cutter guy....if i do say so myself.

ah...the traditional family picture with our tree...
oh, and our saw. check out mr Z's face....

after dragging the tree to bail...the hot chocolate shack where
the goal is to have lots of chocolate powder and only a little bit of water.

somebody did not make it to lunch....curled up in nana's coat.
he slept while we eat pizza for lunch.

home to cook out treats for the traditional tree decorating night.

we gave up on shaping these guys into wreaths...and after protest from
the bakers...we only had half with the "reary reary hot bewwies" on them.

if you were here, i would definitely give you the head's up on which
ones were...well....really loved, let's say....

mr L is a wonderful decorator....he really helped so much.
i am enjoying his age right now so much...

we got the dining room area finished as
far as Christmas decor.....

i had a chance to put this out in the family room. my mom ordered a nativity scene from jerusalem last year for both me and my sister. i love it so much.
it has a special place in the house.

it is truly the reason we celebrate.

the other night the boys were talking in their room and i overheard them talking about
whether or not Jesus was going to be born again....mr Z was sure the whole story started again and Jesus would be born in a barn somewhere....and mr L was trying his best to tell him that Jesus is not born again....we just tell the story again. i think they fell asleep 10 minutes later with no resolution.....it was hilarious....

this is my favorite time of year....
