my friend penny came over today....she mentioned that she had been working on a fireplace project in her kitchen. not a real fireplace, but one she made....i was so intrigued....when she left, i told her to please send me a picture....and when she did...i could not believe my eyes!!!
look at this! she bought a mantel and painted the whole thing...saved black and white plates and then put together a the tile....and painted the middle metal frame....unbelievable.
next week i am hoping to go to her house.....and i can't wait to show you some pictures....
i love her thrifty style....and creativity.

Wow, that's amazing. I'm working on a mantel for my fireplace... I was quite proud of my work until I saw that... Geesh! Can't wait to see more pictures.
